Interactive eXperience
The interactive exploration of Vani Virtual eXperience allows accessing a specific area of the Vani temple-city of historical-archaeological interest:
the so-called mosaic floored temple, located a few meters away from the entry gate of Vani and the Archaeological Museum.
Here below is some information about our case study, the archaeological objects found, and the work done by CNR and GNM teams on the site, from field acquisition to digitization and virtual reconstruction.
The interactive experience relies on the open-source framework ATON, an online web-based tool, which is the result of research and development activities carried out in the last 5 years by CNR ISPC.
ATON offers a scalable, flexible and modular solution to create and deploy "liquid" web applications, providing innovative and advanced functionalities for the Cultural Heritage sector in terms of 3D presentation, annotation, immersive interaction, and real-time collaboration.
